The first step is to assess YOUR needs. There's no one-size-fits-all solution. Also, just because it costs more doesn't mean it's better. Just because it costs less doesn't mean it's worse.
Considerations:
Push button (classic) vs. Touch screen with PC (advanced)
- Push button is less expensive but doesn’t have the high-end look of advanced.
- Advanced has a wide variety of options, including customizability
Coil vs. Conveyor belt
- Coil is less configurable. When a product size changes, it often means replacing coils whereas conveyor belt machines allow the operator to easily configure the machine based on product size and shape.
- Coil machines are not suitable for all packaging types.
- When coils are an option, they tend to be somewhat more cost-effective.
Elevator or non-elevator
- Non-elevator is generally less expensive but can’t safely dispense fragile items
